1 Friday: Istanbul

Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel.

2 Saturday: Istanbul

Get your bearings in Istanbul’s old city. Start with a tour of the Hagia Sophia one of the marvels of the world, then visit the magnificent Blue Mosque renowned for its exquisite blue tiles. Continue to the Hippodrome and explore the Grand Bazaar. After lunch visit the Suleymaniye mosque, Istanbul’s largest mosque. Spend the evening at your leisure. (B)

3 Sunday: Istanbul / Cappadocia

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, marvel at the regions majestic nature. Visit all the sites, including; Sagani Valley, Sobesos Mosaic Houses, Taskinpasa Medresesi, Keslik Monastery, and the village of Sinasos. Check into your hotel for an overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

4 Monday: Cappadocia

Start the day with a visit to the Devrent Valley to see its fairy chimneys, continue to Pasabagi (Monk’s Valley) to see its natural wonders. Afterwards visit Avanos an area renowned for its red clay since the biblical era. In the afternoon tour the Goreme Open Air Museum, and stop at many breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. Wrap-up the day’s touring with a visit to the Kaymakli Ozkonak Underground City. (B, D)

5 Tuesday: Cappadocia / Konya / Pamukkale

Drive to Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the world-wide famous mystic figure. Then continue on to Pamukkale for an overnight. (B, D)

6 Wednesday: Pamukkale / Kusadasi

Tour the ruins of Hierapolis and visit Aphrodisias the city of Aphrodite. (B, D)

7 Thursday: Kusadasi

Tour the archaeological site of Ephesus Antique City. Visit the House of the Virgin Mary and the Church of St. John. Return to Kusadası for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

8 Friday: Kusadasi / Canakkale

Early departure for Pergama and visit to the Asclepion and Acropol with the well preserved remains. In the afternoon continue on to Troy, where the legendary Trojan War took place as described in the historical work of Homer of Smyrna. After visiting the site with nine inhabitation levels covering a period of 3,000 years, drive to Canakkale area for overnight. (B, D)

9 Saturday: Canakkale / Istanbul

After breakfast sail to the other side of Dardanelles by a ferry and visit to Gallipoli, historically famous for being the site of many battles – particularly involving the Allied Forces including Australians and New Zealanders during World War I. Arrive in Istanbul late afternoon and transfer to the hotel. (B)

Transfer to the Istanbul Ataturk Airport for international flight. (B)
