The Eiffel Tower (pictured above), which was built in commemoration of the famous French Revolution, was at one time the tallest building in the world – the giant structure is one of the most iconic to be found anywhere and was first presented at the Paris World’s Fair in 1889. The Eiffel Tower is located in  Champ de Mars and was named after its designer,  Gustave Eiffel.
