Day Destination Experience
1 Thursday - Zagreb

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The day is at leisure.  In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

2 Friday - Zagreb-Kumrovec-Zagreb

On a morning sightseeing tour of Croatian capital, a local expert unfurls the rich culture of the two tiered capital of Croatia, Zagreb.  Walk through the medieval core of the Upper Town to see the Stone Gate, Lotrscak Tower, the Cathedral, Parliament, and Government Palace. In the afternoon, a scenic drive takes us to Kumrovec, a birth place of the late marshal Tito; the president of former Yugoslavia, whose house has been turned into a museum. Today, the major attraction of Kumrovec is the Ethnological Museum Staro Selo, with very well preserved village houses from the turn of the 19th-20th century. Later, we follow a winding road through the Zagorje Hills for an early dinner of genuine local specialties and wine at the local restaurant/farm, with magnificent view of the 15th century castle.  Return to your hotel in Zagreb for overnight. (B,D)

3 Saturday - Zagreb-Plitvice Lakes

Journey south and visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Have your camera ready and take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. After your visit, dinner and overnight in Plitvice. (B,D)

4 Sunday - Ethnoland Dalmati-Hvar Island

Today, the green forests and clear waters give way to culture and ethno experience. Journey into the heart of Dalmatian culture and visit Ethnoland Dalmati, where our experience begins with a welcome ceremony; listen to Dalmatians tell stories of their ancestors; learn about their customs and tradition and feast your body and soul with local delicacies as we sit down at lunch. In the afternoon, board the ferry and set sail to Hvar Island. (B, L)

5 Monday - Hvar Island

The town of Hvar has a unique cultural and historical heritage, plus a centuries-old tradition in tourism. A morning walking tour reveals Hvar’s Venetian flavor, with views of the Fortress, Franciscan Monastery and more. Afterward, enjoy the “lavender experience”; a drive into the inland will be constantly surprised by the sheer variety of island’s landscapes: vineyard-covered hills, olive groves and undulating fields of rosemary and lavender. Tonight, kick back, relax, and enjoy this charming island, listed as one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world by Conde Nast Travel Magazine. As the sun sets, maybe take the opportunity to dine in a traditional ‘konoba’. (B)

6 Tuesday - Hvar Island-Split

Leave the island life behind as you return to mainland. Upon arrival to Split, walking tour of the historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Following, the journey will take us to lovely Mostar to walk across the famous Stari Most that was reconstructed after being almost completely destroyed during the war. In the afternoon, a drive along the picturesque Croatian coast reveals the world-famous natural beauty of the area. Taste delicious oysters at local restaurant in Ston, before we reach Dubrovnik, so called “Pearl of Adriatic”. (B, D)
