Day Destination Experience
1 Arrival Athens

Welcome to Athens! Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is yours to explore this fascinating city or simply unwind at your hotel for a two night stay.

2 Athens

After breakfast, depart for a half day Athens city tour. This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a unique city. Our expert guides take you to see the center of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the famous Evzones (Presidential Guards) in their historic uniforms and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis, pass by Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a brief stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. At the Acropolis, visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally, “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where the statues found their home and admire the wonders of Classical Greece at the new Acropolis Museum. The afternoon is ideal for strolling and shopping, in the old Plaka area with its narrow streets animated with taverns, shops, and ancient monuments.

3 Athens | Mykonos

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the Port of Piraeus where you will board a ferry to the jet-set island of Mykonos. Upon arrival in Mykonos port, transfer from the port to hotel for three nights. Today, and the next two, are full days at leisure.

4 Mykonos

Enjoy strolling in cosmopolitan Mykonos Town with its whitewashed houses. Discover the beautiful narrow streets with traditional shops and restaurants, little Venice with the famous windmills and a number of small chapels around nearly every corner. Or, take one of the many traditional fishing boats to any of the island’s world famous beaches and soak up the sun! You may also take an optional half day guided visit to the island of Delos inhabited with a huge archaeological site, only a 45 minute boat ride away from Mykonos. Delos was the center of the Cyclades of the ancient world, the island of light, birthplace of Apollon and Artemis, home to the first multicultural civilization and trade.
